Patek Philippe's 50th-anniversary celebration of the Nautilus at Watches and Wonders 2026 centers on three ultra-thin limited-edition wristwatches that distill the collection to its essentials—the 38 mm platinum Ref. 5610/1P-001 limited to 2,000 pieces, and two 41 mm white gold "Jumbo" references, the 5810/1G-001 on a matching bracelet limited to 2,000 pieces, and the diamond-set 5810G-001 on a navy composite strap limited to 1,000 pieces.
All three are powered by the ultra-thin self-winding Caliber 240, another child of the 1970s, with a micro-rotor engraved "50 1976-2026." Sitting alongside this trio is a fourth, far more unexpected anniversary piece: the Ref. 958G-001, a white gold Nautilus desk clock limited to 100 examples. It's the kind of grand gesture that only Patek would attempt, and a fitting companion to the wrist-bound trio—a statement objet d’art that moves the Nautilus vocabulary off the wrist and onto the writing desk.
Things to Know About the Desk Clock
The case measures 50.65 mm across and 13.5 mm thick, executed entirely in 18K white gold. The sunburst blue dial features the Nautilus's emblematic horizontal embossing, punctuated by white gold applied baguette-cut diamond hour markers totaling 0.96 carats, and rounded baton-style hands finished with a white luminescent coating.
A power reserve indicator sits at 12 o'clock, an instantaneous day aperture and date-by-hand display handle the calendar functions, and small seconds live at 6 o'clock.
The Movement
Powering the clock is the manually wound calibre 31-505 8J PS IRM CI J, measuring 32 mm in diameter and 5.05 mm thick, built from 256 parts and 28 jewels. Twin barrels deliver a minimum 8-day power reserve, beating at 28,800 vph with a Spiromax balance spring. The movement bears the Patek Philippe Seal and is visible when the hinged solid case back cover, adorned with a sunburst-blue embossed dial pattern and a satin-brushed Calatrava cross, is opened. This case back doubles as the clock's support, while the inner case ring around the movement bears the commemorative "50th Anniversary Nautilus 1976-2026 Patek Philippe" inscription.
