FERDINAND BERTHOUD

Initially founded in 1753 by Ferdinand Berthoud, his company became at first famous for its work with marine chronometers and his marine clocks once guided the French king’s vessels across oceans. Resurrected in 2015 by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, the co-president of Chopard and founder of Chopard's in-house manufacture L.U.C division, the brand’s first release was the Chronometré FB 1 which won the 2016 “Aiguille d’Or” at the Grand Prix de Horlogerie de Genève.
