EDITORIAL POLICY

All the content on Watch Collecting Lifestyle is produced and approved solely by our editorial team. WCL does not accept advertising investments, payments, or barters —of watches, luxury goods, or press trips/experiences— in exchange for positive watch reviews. We are entitled to our Editorial Independence. We make editorial decisions without interference from the owners of watch companies or their affiliates.

All of the opinions and views expressed here on WCL are our own and the watch reviews follow a careful examination of the watches in the metal —in person— before we can give our honest opinion about them. We do not publish any watch reviews based on press documents or press stock images.

We believe in ethical and professional journalism and because of that, we do not offer hands-on reviews unless we have perused the watches in person.

The brands that we choose to partner with do not play any role in the development of our editorial and we do not allow any input, sanctioning, or pre-approval over any of the content that we create and publish.

We choose to remain unbiased by not allowing any of the brands that we discuss here on Watch Collecting Lifestyle to be part of what we write unless we publish a press release that was submitted by a brand. And even in those instances, we carefully examine the content of said press releases to remove anything that goes against our editorial policy or that could be deemed as offensive, exaggerated, overpromising, or too idealistic.

Our promise to our readers is that we will talk about any watch that we consider worthy, whether the brand is an active or non-active advertiser.

While we do not believe in a ‘Pay-for-Play’ type of practice, we very much appreciate the advertising support of the brands so that we can continue to output the content that you love.

Sincerely,

Halim Trujillo, Founder, Editor-in-Chief & Publisher
