Following the successful launch of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris collection at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva last year, the Grande Maison is extending the Polaris line with a special new creation: the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date Llimited Edition for North America. Produced in a limited series of 800 pieces, the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date combines the Manufacture’s high-watchmaking expertise with contemporary proportions, vintage design motifs, and several important aesthetic changes.
Maintaining its commitment to the culture of filmmaking and the preservation of cinematic heritage, La Grande Maison will celebrate the 15th anniversary of its partnership with the Venice International Film Festival this year. As main sponsor of the Film Festival, Jaeger-LeCoultre will be actively involved in all of its highlights, adorning the stars with its finest timepieces and presenting a personalized Reverso watch to the winners of the most prestigious awards: Best Film —Leone d’Oro, the Golden Lion Award—, Best Actress and Best Actor of the year —Coppa Volpi Awards— and the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement —Leone d’Oro alla carriera.
For most of us, the first things that come up to mind when thinking of Jaeger-LeCoultre are slim, time only watches with a timeless design. Jaeger-LeCoultre is not only a master of complicated watches but a brand that helped forge the horological world as we know it today, thanks to the development from the ground up of some of the most amazing movements and ebauches powering not only their own watches but also watches from the holy trinity of watchmaking —Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe—, as it happened with the development of the JLC calibre 920 which gave birth to the AP 2121, the VC 1121 and the Patek 28-255.
SIHH 2019: Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Enamel Dial Limited Editions. Live Pictures & Pricing.
New for the SIHH 2019 are three Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin watches with blue guilloché and enamel dials. A new Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon, a Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar and a Master Ultra Thin Moon phase watch enrich the ultra thin collection with the most emblematic complications in watchmaking. Showcasing Jaeger-LeCoultre’s expertise in the field of horology, these new dials are a testament to precision and sophistication. All cased in 18K white gold cases and exclusively available in limited editions, the three new watches feature a midnight blue —blue greenish depending on lighting conditions— enamel dial with sunray guilloché motif.
Paying tribute to the original and first Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso launched in 1931 comes a new iteration of the Reverso Tribute Small Seconds in stainless steel this time sporting an intriguing burgundy red dial. In a hue that could also be described as ‘ox-blood’ color, the watch is equipped with a Casa Fagliano matching red strap. Created in the 1931 as a convenient watch for polo players, the purpose of the Reverso was to be able to maintain the front of the watch protected during a polo match by virtue of swiveling and exposing a solid case back on the front. A perfect example of the Art Deco movement, the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Small Seconds Burgundy Red is one of the sexiest Reversos out there.
