Introducing: Tudor Black Bay Ceramic on Ceramic Bracelet—The Blackout Is Now Complete

Tudor has been experimenting with monobloc ceramic cases since 2013, when the brand relaunched in the U.S. with the now-discontinued Fastrider Black Shield, which was actually a pretty cool watch. The Black Bay Ceramic on strap was originally launched in 2021—though there was a precursor: a unique piece made for the ONLY Watch charity auction in 2019, which sold for approximately CHF 350,000.

The 2026 ref. M7941A1ACNU-0001, presented at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026, is therefore the second-generation ceramic Black Bay, distinguished primarily by the new full ceramic bracelet and the updated micro-blasted case finish, which gives it a more graphite grey look depending on lighting conditions.

This new-generation ceramic-on-ceramic bracelet variant further refines that proposition. Spending time with the new Black Bay Ceramic on a ceramic bracelet ref. M7941A1ACNU-0001 in hand, the monochromatic execution is more cohesive than any previous iteration. The contrast between the micro-blasted matte case surfaces and the mirror-polished beveled edges gives the watch a dimensional quality that photographs underplay. In person, it reads as more sophisticated than aggressively tactical.

Things to Know About the Watch

The 41 mm case is entirely in matte black ceramic with a micro-blasted finish, paired with a new full ceramic bracelet featuring a proprietary dual-folding deployant ceramic clasp—a technically challenging achievement given ceramic's brittleness.

The unidirectional rotating bezel features a black ceramic insert with a sunray satin finish and engraved markings that shift subtly under changing light. The charcoal sunray dial runs a tight tonal register: applied hour markers carry what Tudor describes as ‘dark’ luminescent material—light grey in person—, and the hands are blacked out to match. The screw-down crown is black PVD-treated steel, just like the bezel ring protecting the insert. Case thickness comes in at 13.6 mm on a 21 mm lug width, and water resistance remains at 200 meters. The monochromatic look of the watch is simply out of this world, and the dial and bezel match cohesively thanks to their sunray finishes.

The Movement

Powering this watch is the in-house Manufacture Caliber MT5602-U, an automatic self-winding movement carrying both COSC chronometer certification and METAS Master Chronometer status—the latter requiring demonstrated performance in a 15,000-gauss magnetic field and precision across two temperatures, six positions, and two power reserve levels. Power reserve is 70 hours, and the movement is protected by a black PVD steel solid case back.

On the Wrist & Price

On the wrist, the all-ceramic bracelet reads as a unified object rather than a watch on a bracelet. The black matte-finished ceramic reduces visual mass, making it wear smaller—at least optically—and lighter—the watch weighs 139 grams—than the steel Black Bay despite the identical 41 mm diameter.

The integrated, monolithic aesthetic holds up in a dressed-down context but also transitions credibly under a suit cuff, as our wrist shots confirm. Because of its monochromatic look and slightly domed sapphire crystal, the dial offers a nice play of light depending on the angle you view it from.

This is the most complete execution of the Black Bay Ceramic to date and the most avant-garde, incorporating a full ceramic bracelet. A fully blacked-out Black Bay that looks less tactical and more refined.
