Introducing: Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds 'Or Deco Cocktail'—One Icon Gem-Set with Three Different Types of Stones

Jaeger-LeCoultre has used the Met Gala as a launch platform before, but the 2026 edition arrived with unusual precision. Three new expressions of the Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds—each set with a different precious stone, each worn by a different celebrity on the red carpet—mark the debut of the 'Or Deco Cocktail' series. Two watches in 18K white gold with baguette-cut emeralds and sapphires, respectively, and one in 18K pink gold with rubies, all on Milanese bracelets, as presented last year at Watches and Wonders 2025. It is high jewelry watchmaking that knows exactly what it is and does not apologize for it.

Things to Know About the Watch

The case dimensions are those of the standard Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Monoface, measuring 45.6 mm long, 27.4 mm wide, and 7.56 mm thick. The slimmer contemporary Tribute proportions rather than the chunkier Classic. The reversible carrier slides within its fixed frame as it always has, but the solid caseback here serves as a smooth architectural counterpoint to a gem-set front.

The defining element in all three pieces is the row of baguette-cut precious stones rail-set between the signature horizontal gadroons. In the two white gold pieces, emeralds and sapphires respectively form an uninterrupted band of color that runs the full width of the case. Grained dials in matching tones ground the composition with a matte counterpoint to the polished case surfaces.

In the pink gold ruby edition, the red stones engage in a direct dialogue with the warm metal tone. The Milanese bracelet, woven from approximately 16 meters of gold thread per piece, integrates seamlessly with the case and contributes meaningfully to the wearing experience.

Each stone is individually set by the Métiers Rares atelier—emeralds in particular demand exceptional handling precision, given their relative fragility—and the cumulative effect is a continuous flow of color that amplifies rather than decorates the Reverso's geometry.

The Movement

All three pieces are powered by the manual-wound Calibre 822, Jaeger-LeCoultre's in-house shaped movement designed specifically for the Reverso's rectangular case. Composed of 108 parts, it beats at a frequency of 21,600 vph with a 42-hour power reserve, displaying hours, minutes, and a small seconds subdial at 6 o'clock.

On the Wrist & Price

These are evening watches for a gala night in the strictest sense—proportioned for the cuff, weighted for the occasion. The Milanese bracelet, flexible by design, conforms easily to the wrist and avoids the rigidity that can make precious-metal bracelets uncomfortable over long wear. The trio makes its next public appearance at the Reverso Stories Pop-up in Miami from May 21st.

The 'Or Deco Cocktail' trio makes the case that the Reverso, now in its 95th year, remains one of the few watch designs in the world capable of carrying haute joaillerie without losing its architectural integrity. The stones are not decorations placed onto a watch; they are an extension of the case's own geometry. That is a harder outcome to achieve than it appears.
