Formula 1 comes to Miami this weekend, and Tudor has timed its latest release accordingly. The new Black Bay Chrono ‘Carbon 26’ arrives as the brand's annual livery-inspired chronograph tied to the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls team—now two seasons into their partnership—and to the 2026 car, the VCARB 03. The defining update over last year's ‘Carbon 25’ is a shift from blue to yellow accents, drawn directly from the VCARB 03's engine cowling, running across the minute track, subdial scales, and date disc. VCARB drivers Liam Lawson and rookie Arvid Lindblad will be wearing it in the paddock this weekend.
Things to Know About the Watch
The 42 mm case is carbon composite throughout, including the one-piece fixed tachymetric bezel. Meanwhile, the watch is equipped with black PVD titanium pushers, a screw-down crown with a Tudor rose in relief, and an integrated hybrid leather-rubber strap with a tire tread pattern and white contrast stitching.
The dial is what Tudor calls ‘racing white,’ domed, with layered construction alternating brass discs and carbon fiber sheets to produce the subdial registers and date surround in actual carbon—not a printed approximation.
Snowflake hands, a Tudor signature since 1969, are black-outlined and lume-filled. PVD-finished titanium screw-down pushers sit at 2 and 4 o'clock; a titanium case back with individual numbering, and carbon fiber end-links connect the case to the strap. Water resistance is 200 meters.
It is worth mentioning that the case back engraving for the Black Bay Chrono ‘Carbon 26’ differs from that of its predecessor, the ‘Carbon 25’, this time featuring a checkered flag motif and the year 2026—the Black Bay Chrono ‘Carbon 25’ case back features an F1 car on it.
The Movement
Powering the Tudor Black Bay Chrono 'Carbon 26' is the in-house Tudor calibre MT5813 manufacture chronograph movement, co-developed with Breitling on the architecture of the B01 and adapted to Tudor's specifications. It is COSC-certified and equipped with a column wheel, vertical clutch, silicon balance spring, and variable-inertia balance. Power reserve is approximately 70 hours. METAS certification is absent here—a conversation that will persist as that standard becomes more prevalent across the Tudor lineup.
