Introducing: Block RG Stealth Tourbillon. Sharpest Geometry in Haute Horlogerie.

Founded by Romas Gimbutis, Block RG draws on decades of expertise in jewelry craftsmanship, precision engineering, and haute horlogerie. Relying on a group of creators who intimately understood the limits of traditional watchmaking because they'd spent years working within them, the brand draws on materials and technologies from the aerospace, high-performance automotive, and defense sectors, integrating lightweight composites and advanced alloys that prioritize performance over convention. This isn't disruption for its own sake, but the logical conclusion of watchmakers who refused to compromise their vision for market acceptance, creating timepieces that answer only to engineering possibility rather than horological precedent.

Block RG has consistently occupied the experimental edge of independent watchmaking, but the Stealth Tourbillon represents a decisive leap into a fully realized identity. Developed in collaboration with Fabrice Gonet and Olivier Leu, this inaugural piece in the brand's Stealth Collection abandons circular conventions entirely, instead sculpting case architecture from intersecting planes and faceted surfaces that would feel equally at home in an aerospace engineering studio.

Things to Know About the Watch

The 46.7 mm x 36.7 mm x 13.9 mm case, available in either titanium or 18K pink gold, employs a multi-angled sapphire crystal architecture that creates depth and tension across its surface. Light doesn't simply reflect off of this watch—it fractures, refracts, and moves across geometric planes in ways that shift with every wrist rotation. The effect is akin to viewing a movement through a crystalline structure rather than traditional case architecture, creating the sensation of mechanical components suspended in space.

What makes the Stealth Tourbillon particularly noteworthy isn't simply its angular architecture but how completely Block RG commits to this vision. There's no hedging, no softening of edges to appeal to broader tastes, no compromise toward conventional wearability. The watch comes fitted with a technical textile strap that extends the contemporary aesthetic from case to closure, reinforcing that this piece exists for collectors who seek mechanical art that challenges rather than comforts. At 6 o’clock, the super large tourbillon takes the center stage, while hours and minutes are indicated with black hands over a black bridge. Seconds are shown directly on the tourbillon itself, while a power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock provides practical utility within this decidedly impractical aesthetic.

The Movement

Beneath this sculptural exterior beats the Block 1 Tourbillon, developed in partnership with Telos. The manual-wound movement beats at 28,800 vph, offers a generous 4-day power reserve, and comprises 187 components and 29 jewels.

Price

Production is deliberately exclusive—just eight pieces per material, sixteen total. Block RG has created something genuinely uncommon: a tourbillon that looks nothing like any other, housed in architecture that redefines what watch cases can become when freed from circular tyranny. For those seeking the next evolution in independent watchmaking aesthetics, this is a compelling argument that the future may be considerably more angular than tradition suggests.

Sticker Price €375,000—approx USD 441,500. More info on Block RG here.
