The year 1935 marks a big milestone for Panerai as they landed their first contract to supply the Italian Navy with professional diving instruments, but it also does for the world of cigars, as the iconic Montecristo Cuban cigar brand was founded that year. The Montecristo Línea 1935 celebrates the founding of Montecristo and it was released last year as a ‘totally by hand long filler’ line of cigars. The Línea 1935 cigars are available in three different vitolas and packaged in a very distinct presentation box unlike other Habanos. The beautiful box is dark brown matte Carmelite lacquer finished and uniquely shaped with beveled edges and the traditional fleur-de-lis that has distinguished the Montecristo brand since its founding.

Phillips will host a sale especially dedicated to the 50th Anniversary of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak which will take place at the Hôtel La Réserve in Geneva, Switzerland on May 6, 2022. This is the earliest example known to come to the watch auction market. De Bethune’s 'entry level' watch —if calling it that is even possible— the DB27 Titan Hawk V2 cuts no corners for its price tag. Before the end of 2021, Max Büsser did the unthinkable releasing a watch priced at CHF 1,900 Swiss Francs —approximately $2,000 USD. Reserved for his friends and what MB&F likes to call The Tribe —the select group of clients that have purchased MB&F watches in the past. The M.A.D. 1 Friends Edition looks a lot like an MB&F but is not one. Between the finishes, the engine, and the craftsmanship, the M.A.D. 1 is just a fun watch that Max Büsser launched because he can. And you know what? We love that.

Morgan Stanley just released a piece of research that includes the estimated revenue and units sold by the top 50 Swiss watch brands. While the rankings are relatively similar to what has been published by them in previous years, there are a few surprises. For the very first time, Audemars Piguet has surpassed Patek Philippe in terms of revenue and consolidated its spot as the 4th most important watch brand with a revenue of almost 1.6 billion Swiss Francs.
