Insider: De Bethune DB27 Titan Hawk V2 Green Limited Edition. Our Favorite Titan.

De Bethune DB27 Titan Hawk V2

Back in 2018, De Bethune added the DB27 Titan Hawk V2 with a blue and a silvered white dial. De Bethune’s 'entry level' watch —if calling it that is even possible— the DB27 Titan Hawk V2 cuts no corners for its price tag. After the success of its predecessors, the Titan Hawk V2 is now also available with a gorgeous green microlight dial in a limited edition of 10 pieces. Despite its price tag, the design and finishes of this watch clearly embrace the principles and values of this young manufacture.

The green microlight dial features a chapter ring with Roman numerals and a minutes circle with Arabic numerals placed around the rim of the dial. The winding crown, capriciously placed at 12 o'clock adds to the intricate design of the De Bethune DB27 Titan Hawk V2. Additionally, the crown features the same ridges that appear on the case band. The green dial is a true chameleon depending on lighting conditions. The dial has a textured center with an applied silhouette of the signature De Bethune triangular-shaped bridge and transfers in white.

The watch is delivered on a green canvas strap with a dark brown calf leather insert and brown calf leather keepers.. The strap is secured by a pin buckle in high-polished titanium. The look of the watch thanks to this strap is extremely sporty and somewhat rugged.

The Movement

Turning the watch over reveals another dimension. The display case back with anti-reflective treatment on both sides allows for a full and unobstructed view of the lavish hand-decorated De Bethune automatic calibre S4V2 composed of 217 parts and a gorgeous oscillating weight in titanium and tungsten with a blue accent. The movement features the De Bethune signature balance spring with a flat terminal curve on a redesigned balance wheel. While beating at a frequency of 28,800 vph, the movement provides a power reserve of 60 hours when fully wound.
