After the huge success of the Hublot Big Bang Unico Sapphire Rainbow, two new watches draw their inspiration from it and make an entrance with a strong punch. The new Hublot Big Bang Unico Sapphire Galaxy in black and clear sapphire feature bezels set with 48 amethysts and sapphires. With a nice gradient between the 48 stones —but nowhere near to the gradient achieved by Rolex for their Rainbow Daytona—, the color of the stones goes all the way from purple to red in a gradient that includes shades of light blue, violet and bright pink in between.

A minute repeater and a tourbillon in a rectangular case that looks like a smart watch. The Swiss Alp Watch Minute Repeater Tourbillon by H. Moser & Cie. dares to contrast the two. The Schaffhausen-based Manufacture pairs the contemporary design of the case with a complex flying tourbillon movement, fitted with one of the most challenging complications to produce: a minute repeater. In 2012, Jaquet Droz released its first minute repeater featuring two blue birds and their chicks. This remarkable model reaffirmed the watchmaking and automaton crafting expertise of Jaquet Droz. The following year, 'The Charming Bird' watch marked the brand’s 275th anniversary with a new interpretation of the bird minute repeater in an ultra-modern decorative setting and this time singing. The Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph ref. 5270 was originally launched at Baselworld 2011 to replace the iconic Patek reference 5970. Some of the main differences between the ref. 5970 and the ref. 5270 include a bigger case measuring now 41 mm vs. 39 mm on the ref. 5970 and an in-house movement powering the ref. 5270 instead of the Lemania 2310-based CH27 calibre in the ref. 5970. Additionally, there are some other changes on the dial of the ref. 5270G-018 when compared to its predecessor.

Originally launched in 1996 and revamped in 2004 and in 2016, the Vacheron Constantin Overseas is the perfect sporty yet elegant option offered by this manufacture. While in 2016 the Overseas received its biggest facelift ever, today, Vacheron Constantin has decided to add two new dials to the collection. As a first for the brand and for the Overseas collection comes a glossy black reversed panda dial with silvered chrono registers. The second one is a jet black glossy dial for the Overseas Date model.

The year 2018 marks 240 years since the creation of John Arnold’s historically significant Chronometer No. 1/36. This timepiece was the first time measuring instrument to be called a “chronometer” for its unprecedented precision. After the successful release in 2016 of the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Chronograph CK2998 Limited Edition with blue dial, this year comes a new iteration of the reissue of the legendary and most sought-after Omega ref. 2998. Originally released in 1959, the CK2998 is one of the most iconic Speedmasters in the world.
