News: Presenting the new Richard Mille RM 11-02 Le Mans Classic 2016. A $180,000 USD 150-Piece Limited Edition.

As part of their involvement with the Le Mans Classic race since 2002, Richard Mille welcomed Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake and renowned musician Pharrell Williams to be part of the event. While Yohan Blake gave the start signal for the Little Big Mans race, Pharrell Williams waved the French flag at the gridline. The Little Big Mans race is a special race that takes place at the historic Bugatti Circiut and that allows young drivers between 6 and 10 years of age, to experience the circuit in decked out go karts.

Along with the Little Big Mans race, 180 car clubs with 8,500 cars representing 60 constructors convened to celebrate both the 100th birthday of BMW and the 50th anniversary of the Ford GT40’s first victory at the Le Mans 24 Hours.

To celebrate the occasion, Richard Mille unveiled a new iteration of the RM 11-02 Le Mans Classic. This time, the new Richard Mille RM 11-02 Le Mans Classic for 2016 features a middle case and crown in NTPT Carbon, bezel and case back in white ATZ Ceramic and titanium pushers. The Richard Mille RM 11-02 LMC 2016 like all other RM 11-02 Le Mans Classic watches in the collection, features an automatic movement with variable-geometry rotor, annual calendar, UTC display, a 24-hour flyback chronograph and countdown feature. The 24-hour chrono register features a special red accent on the 16th hour alluding to the time at which the race used to start on Saturdays at 16:00 hours up until 2008. The case measures 50 mm in length, 42.70 mm in width and 16.15 mm in thickness.

The new Richard Mille RM 11-02 LMC for 2016 is exclusively available in a limited edition of 150 pieces. For the first time, the watch bears a color combination featuring the traditional colors of the legendary race. The watch features the Le Mans Classic race at 12 o'clock.
