Introducing: HYT S1 5N Gold 'Fally Ipupa' Limited Edition. When Hydromechanical Horology and Music Intersect.

HYT proudly introduces its first collaborative timepiece with internationally acclaimed Congolese artist Fally Ipupa. This exclusive release represents a perfect fusion of Swiss watchmaking innovation and contemporary cultural artistry. Limited to just 8 pieces worldwide, the S1 5N Gold Limited Edition ‘Fally Ipupa’ showcases HYT's revolutionary fluidic technology. Its 45.3 mm case is exquisitely crafted in 5N Gold and black DLC-coated titanium and each piece bears the artist's signature on the sapphire crystal back case.

Born in 1977 in Kinshasa, Fally Ipupa rose from Koffi Olomide's Quartier Latin band to become one of Africa's most successful musicians. His 2006 solo debut "Droit Chemin" sold 100,000+ copies in its first month. Known for blending traditional Congolese rumba with contemporary sounds, Ipupa has released nine albums and collaborated with international artists. His achievements include being Forbes' sixth richest African musician in 2014, selling out Paris La Défense Arena in 2023, and winning 50+ awards. Beyond music, he runs a humanitarian foundation and is recognized for his fashion influence.

"Fally represents movement, culture, and fearless expression—all values we share at HYT," explains Vahe Vartzbed, CEO of HYT Watches. "This timepiece is more than a watch—it's a symbol of how precision and passion can co-exist in extraordinary form." Fally Ipupa adds: "This project allowed me to explore time in a new way. HYT's innovative vision aligns perfectly with the rhythm of my creative journey. Together, we've created something timeless."

The new HYT S1 5N Gold 'Fally Ipupa' Limited Edition features an open-worked dial that dramatically showcases the hydromechanical calibre 501-CM—HYT's proprietary 352-part movement with a 72-hour power reserve. This sophisticated mechanism powers both traditional timekeeping functions and HYT's signature fluidic time display. The watch's distinctive fluidic hours system employs two flexible alloy bellows connected by a borosilicate glass capillary tube. As one bellows compresses, it forces black liquid through the tube, with the liquid's advancing edge precisely marking the hour. This innovative system, protected by seven patents, earned HYT the Innovation Prize at the 2012 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève.

Despite its technical complexity, the S1 ‘Fally Ipupa’ prioritizes wearability with an ergonomically shaped case and interchangeable strap system. The timepiece comes with two options: a pure black velcro strap with a loop buckle and a pure black rubber strap with a pin buckle. Both seamlessly integrate with the case design and can be swapped in seconds thanks to an ingenious quick-release mechanism.

Available in a highly exclusive limited edition of 8 pieces.
