Introducing: Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time Cardinal Points—The Sequel to the Everest Editions

The Overseas collection turns 30 in 2026, and Vacheron Constantin marks the occasion not with a retrospective gesture but a forward-looking one. The Dual Time Cardinal Points traces a direct line from a prototype built for photographer and mountaineer Cory Richards in 2019—tested at 25,000 feet on Everest's northeast face during an attempt on a new route—and the Overseas ‘Everest’ Limited Editions. These four new references expand that singular commission into four production references, each assigned to a cardinal direction and a corresponding dial color. It is a rare instance of a purpose-built field prototype informing a production watch in a meaningful, traceable way, and the lineage shows in every design decision.

Things to Know About the Watch

The four dials map to compass points and the landscapes they evoke: white for the frozen North, brown for the plains of the South, green for the forests of the West, and blue for the Eastern horizon where ocean meets sky. Beyond color, the dial architecture rewards examination—a grained center minimizes reflection while the snailed date counter catches the light, and two concentric finishing rings (circular satin on the minutes track, lacquer on the seconds track) add further textural contrast.

Orange hands mark the second time zone and AM/PM indicator, a deliberate sporty accent against each ground color. The 41 mm case, integrated bracelet, and folding clasp are all titanium, with a matte anthracite grey finish on the bezel, crown, and pusher ring that echoes the Maltese Cross cutaway geometry. Water resistance reaches 150 meters. Three strap options include: a titanium bracelet, orange rubber, and a dial-matched rubber with orange saddle stitching, and all are easily swappable thanks to the interchangeable strap system.

The Movement

Powering this watch is the calibre 5110 DT/3 a manufacture automatic movement composed of 234 parts with a 60-hour power reserve. The crown adjusts both time zones; a dedicated pusher handles the local-time date. The NAC-treated bridges echo the titanium case tonally, while a 22K yellow gold wind rose rotor provides the one warm-metal contrast visible through the sapphire case back.
