Perspective: Tudor Turns 100—What the Brand Will and Won't Do for Watches and Wonders 2026

First registered as a brand in 1926 by watch dealer and maker Veuve de Philippe Hüther, Tudor was officially taken over by Hans Wilsdorf—the founder of Rolex—in 1936. Introducing: Tudor Black Bay Pro. Reminiscent of the Rolex Explorer II ref. 1655.

Very reminiscent of the vintage Rolex Explorer II ref. 1655 Tudor presents a new technical model with a whole new aesthetic named Black Bay Pro. This new watch has a 39 mm stainless case, a fixed 24-hour graduated steel bezel, an orange 24-hour hand and is powered by the in-house calibre MT5652 with built-in GMT function.
