W&W 2023: Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin (Live Pics)

For the first time since its redesign in 2016, Piaget has now added a perpetual calendar to the Polo collection. First presented in stainless steel and now also in 18K rose gold, the iconic Piaget Polo reaches unprecedented heights this year 2023 with the Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-thin powered by the 1255P caliber. The Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin features a dark emerald-green dial with a gadroon pattern and three subdials for the date, month —along with leap-year indication—, and day of the week at 9, 12, and 3 o’clock, along with the moon phase indication at 6 o’clock.

The watch is cased in a generous but still elegant and thin 42 mm case —either in stainless steel or 18K rose gold— with a thickness of only 8.65 mm. True to Piaget tradition, the subdials incorporate several finishes, adding visual richness as the light plays across them, along with Super-Luminova indexes.

While the 18K rose gold model is available with a rubber strap and an alligator strap, the stainless steel model is presented on a bracelet matching the case and supplied with a rubber strap.

The Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin is powered by the Piaget calibre 1255P ultra-thin automatic movement which provides a power reserve of 42 hours while beating at a frequency of 21,600 vph and it features a micro-rotor with a blued oscillating weight. The movement can be fully appreciated through the sapphire display case back on both models.

For the Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin in stainless steel, in addition to the steel bracelet, a green rubber strap provides an additional sports variation of the watch. The watch is water resistant to 30 meters and benefits from a brand-new interchangeable SingleTouch system for the bracelet, which easily yet securely diversifies the wearability options. This interchangeable SingleTouch system is also present on the 18K rose gold model making it very easy to go from rubber to alligator strap in a matter of seconds.

On the wrist, the new Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin wears true to its size and is quite sporty. The ability to go from bracelet to strap or from rubber strap to a dressier alligator strap in a matter of seconds is a great thing that adds unparalleled versatility to this new watch.

Sticker Price $58,500 USD for steel and $76,000 USD for 18K rose gold. For more info on Piaget click here.
