Introducing: Breva Genève Gets Resurrected. 'Segreto di Lario' Titanium Editions.

After its disappearance in 2015 after presenting different watches that claimed to be mechanical watches with the ability to measure air speeds, altitude, barometric pressure, and other atmospheric indicators, the brand has just been resurrected less than three months ago under the leadership of Julien Haenny. This time Breva reappears with a completely different offering and positioning. Honestly, we are not sure why anyone would bring this brand back after its short existence and quick failure.

The new collection named ‘Segreto di Lario’ is inspired by the magical transitions of day and night on Lake Como. Breva’s new core philosophy is centered around Swiss horological excellence paired with Italian-inspired design sensibilities. Interesting take.

So far there are now three watches presented by Breva Genève in less than three months, including these new two limited edition timepieces that embody the ‘Italian art of living’—as defined by the brand’s marketing team. The new "Slate Grey" and "Sunset" editions capture the lake's most captivating moments through their distinctive dials. Both models feature the same specifications as the original "Serenade Blue" in rose gold with a 41 mm diameter, 11.10 mm thickness, and 50-meter water resistance.

Both timepieces are powered by an exclusive manual wound mechanical movement developed specifically for Breva Genève by master watchmaker Jean-François Mojon—just like in the past—and his independent manufacture, Chronode. The movement features triple retrograde displays for hours, seconds at 12 o’clock, and the power reserve with a 7-day scale indicator.

The innovative dual-scale power reserve indicator functions like a precision dashboard: the primary hand tracks the long-range reserve—6 days— on the left side at 7 o’clock, while the secondary hand at 5 o’clock provides detailed readings for the final 24 hours of the power reserve.

Breva Genève Segreto di Lario "Slate Grey": Moonlit Sophistication

The Slate Grey edition evokes those precious pre-dawn moments when moonlight casts silver reflections across Lake Como's still waters. The vertically brushed slate grey dial, accented with silver details and delicate rose gold touches on the minute hand and power reserve indicator, creates a study in understated luxury.

Paired with a handcrafted black alligator leather strap from Italian artisans Cinturini, this timepiece seamlessly transitions from casual to formal settings. The titanium case's lightweight properties enhance wearability while maintaining the collection's refined presence.

Breva Genève Segreto di Lario "Sunset": Capturing Golden Hour Magic

The Sunset edition pays homage to those enchanting moments when the day surrenders to dusk. Its copper-toned dial captures the warm glow of Lake Como's legendary sunsets, evoking ‘aperitivo’ hours when the sky ignites in brilliant hues.

This edition features an exclusive taupe suede strap, also handcrafted in Italy, complementing the dial's warm tones. The result is a timepiece that embodies the relaxed sophistication of lakeside evenings.

"The dial radiates with solar warmth," notes Haenny. "It captures those perfect end-of-day moments – a Spritz in hand, friends nearby, the gentle sound of water against mahogany boat hulls. It's pure Dolce Vita."
