Cased in platinum with a salmon-colored dial the ref. 26611PT.OO.1220PT.01 puts the Royal Oak Quantième Perpétuel back on the center stage with a very this very coveted dial and special oscillating weight. The new Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar exclusive for ‘The Time Place’ —Indonesia’s top authorized dealer— is available in a highly collectible 20-piece limited edition and cased in a 41 mm platinum case. The layout is exactly the same as in all other iterations of this particular model with day, date, the highly detailed astronomical moon in aventurine, month, and leap year, and this time with the 52 weeks of the year indicated by a silvered outer chapter ring with black central hand.
The Movement
The new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Quantième Perpétuel ‘The Time Place’ is powered by the new in-house automatic calibre 5134 based on its predecessor the calibre 2120. The movement has a total thickness of 4.31 mm and a diameter of 29.00 mm. Composed of 374 parts and 38 jewels, the movement provides a power reserve of 40 hours while oscillating at a frequency of 19,800 vph. The oscillating weight is guided by a peripheral ring rolling on four ruby runners, which reduces friction and wear to the minimum possible. The moon phase indicator, laser microstructured, laid on an aventurine that requires correction every 125 years and 317 days.
This new model just like the Latin America Edition or the unique piece for the 'One Night One Drop Charity Auction' we featured here, is equipped with a special oscillating weight that is totally different from the one on the regular production Royal Oak Perpetual models. The oscillating weight in 22K rose gold is engraved with the 20th Anniversary logo from The Time Place and the case back bears the inscription “Limited Edition of 20 Pieces” but not individually numbered.
