Experience: A Day at the North American Institute of Swiss Watchmaking NAIOSW. An Exceptional Free Program Fully Subsidized by Richemont Group and Cartier.

Last week, we had the pleasure to visit the North American Institute of Swiss Watchmaking —NAIOSW— invited by our friends at Cartier. This visit that we can refer to as one of the 'most enlightening' days in our watch collecting life, was for sure a day very well spent. The NAIOSW was established in 2008 —education began in 2009— by the Richemont Group with the purpose of educating and training successful watchmakers for a career in luxury watch repair.

The new HYT H1 Ghost ref. 148-DL-60-NF-RU has been designed around a new black fluid that does not emit or reflect any light.

As all of you know, Armin Strom is a brand that releases all their watches in very small limited editions. Only a handful of times, they've released a limited edition watch only available in certain markets, with a special partner or through certain authorized dealers. The new Armin Strom 'Las Vegas Gravity' Special Edition is even more special because you can only buy it through Roman Times at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and only 77 pieces are available.

The 2016 edition of Baselworld —the largest watch and jewelry show in the world with 100,000+ visitors every year— will officially open to the public on March 17th and will continue through March 24th, 2016. Right before Baselworld 2016 kicks-off next week, Laurent Ferrier introduces a special limited edition of the Galet Traveller designed exclusively for the U.S. market, with a new enamel dial that gives the entire North American continent pride of place. For aesthetic reasons, the dial has been aligned with the north pole slightly off center and the usual reference point of the Greenwich Meridian rotated roughly 90 degrees anti-clockwise to allow a full view of the United States.

Richard Mille held a partnership with the Lotus F1 team for several years. This move from Richard Mille is either the result of Lotus changing its name to Renault Sport F1 earlier this year and deciding to partner with Bell & Ross, or perhaps just looking forward to become more involved with a stronger and more-likely-to-win team.
