News: The Winners at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève 2022

Eagerly awaited each year by watchmaking professionals and enthusiasts, the 22nd awards ceremony of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, poetically hosted by Edouard Baer, was held today Thursday, November, 10th, 2022 at Geneva’s Théâtre du Léman. The GPHG Academy —regrouping 650 key figures in the profession worldwide— and the 2022 Jury chaired by Nick Foulkes saluted watchmaking excellence and expertise by attributing 21 prizes including the famous “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix “best-in-show” distinction, which was awarded to MB&F for the Legacy Machine Sequential Evo watch.

Breaking News: MB&F LM Sequential EVO Wins the GPHG 2022 Aiguille d'Or Grand Prize

Today, November 10th, 2022, MB&F has been awarded the Aiguille d’Or Grand Prix at the 2022 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève —GPHG. It took 17 years after the release of their first watch for MB&F to release their first chronograph and its 20th calibre. One movement with two chronographs and multiple timing modes. Conceived with Stephen McDonnell, who previously reinvented the LM perpetual calendar for MB&F, the Legacy Machine Sequential EVO movement incorporates two column-wheel chronographs and a groundbreaking “Twinverter” binary switch, allowing multiple timing modes including split-second and lap timer modes —a combination never seen before in any chronograph.

News: The Jury for the 2022 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève

The Foundation of the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève is pleased and honored to announce today the composition of the Jury for the 22nd edition of the GPHG. Historian, author, and journalist, Nick Foulkes will continue to chair the next Jury as President of the Jury and will unite the expertise of 30 personalities from the world of watchmaking and the arts to determine the 2022 prize list.

From the Editor: The 90 Nominated Timepieces for the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève 2022

As an Academy member of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, I cast my votes last month for the watches to become the nominees for the 2022 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. Along with other 649 members from around the world, we submitted our votes digitally to narrow down the list from 254 watches—entered into this year’s competition— down to 90 selected timepieces.
