Insider: Hublot Big Bang Dallas Cowboys 18K Rose Gold. Hands-on with a 25-piece Special Edition.

The Hublot Big Bang Dallas Cowboys in 18K rose gold, was released at the end of 2015 joining the three other Cowboys' watches unveiled by the brand at the end of 2014. The Hublot Big Bang Dallas Cowboys is available in either 18K rose gold —25 pieces— or in stainless steel —50 pieces— and is exclusively sold at the Hublot Dallas boutique.

The Dial

This fourth iteration of the Hublot Dallas Cowboys watches, is fitted with a 45 mm case in a combination of 18K rose gold, blue carbon fiber and blue composite resin. Featuring one of the nicest sunburst blue dials out there, the dial is very elegant and it features a Dallas Cowboys star —also in 18K rose gold— at 5 o'clock to represent the team’s 5 Superbowl Championships. The dial layout is clean and easy to read with a running seconds register at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour chrono register at 6 and a 30-minute chrono register at 3 o'clock. The Hublot Big Bang Dallas Cowboys also features a date function with an aperture between 4 and 5 o'clock.

The Bezel, Pushers, Crown & Strap

Opposed to most other Hublot Big Bang timepieces, the Big Bang Dallas Cowboys features rectangular pushers and a screw-down crown. Both the pushers and the crown have composite resin inserts. The bezel, this time is made out of a very nice blue carbon fiber that resembles the look of the texalium on the Italia Independent models. Upon close inspection, one can see the huge difference between both materials.

The Hublot Big Bang Dallas Cowboys is a watch that without a doubt features the unmistakable DNA elements of Hublot including the 45 mm case size, the bezel with its six H-shaped screws, the composite resin bezel lugs and the angled lugs with H-shaped screws.

The Hublot Big Bang Dallas Cowboys 18K rose gold, is fitted with a gorgeous blue alligator strap with rubber lining and delivered with an additional blue rubber strap. The strap is fastened by Hublot's classic deployant clasp in matching 18K rose gold.

The Movement

Powering the Hublot Big Bang Dallas Cowboys, is the automatic Hublot calibre HUB4100. This automatic chronograph movement is composed of 252 parts and it provides a power reserve of 42 hours when fully wound. The movement is fully visible through the display case back and is exquisitely finished with a mirror polished star-shaped oscillating weight with white lacquered borders honoring the Dallas Cowboys.

On the Wrist & Pricing

On the wrist, the watch wears true to its size and very comfortably. The uniqueness of this watch will definitely be a conversation starter among watch collectors and watchlifestylers. While we are not fans of the Dallas Cowboys or fans of watches inspired by celebrities or sports teams, the Hublot Big Bang Dallas Cowboys in 18K rose gold checks most boxes.
