Insider: Armin Strom One Week Air. Light, Impeccable and with a 7-Day Power Reserve.

The Armin Strom One Week Air ref. TI10-WA.11 from the Biel-based manufacture, is a 7-day power reserve manual wound watch that brings the best of Armin Strom in a 100-piece limited edition. The Armin Strom One Week is available in four different iterations —Earth, Water, Fire and Air— and the Air one we are reviewing here, is one of our favorite ones. Powered by the manual wound calibre ARM09, the One Week Air is designed to proudly display its inner workings with a beautiful skeletonized dial ring with white appliqués and power reserve with concentric running seconds indicator at 9 o'clock and is equipped with a light but sturdy titanium case measuring 43.40 mm in diameter and 13 mm in thickness. The Armin Strom One Week Air boasts the same exceptional level of finishing that has contributed to the reputation of the brand and of its eponymous founder. This is a timepiece that will appeal to connoisseurs of fine watchmaking wishing to celebrate the movement in all its forms.

The Dial

Its front side, just as appealing as its back side is meticulously finished and well crafted considering the conservative price point of the brand. The red accent on the power reserve indicator, along with the applied numerals at 12, 3 and 6, make for a very contemporary design that will withstand the test of time without any issues. Fitted with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, the watch offers perfect readability from every angle and in any lighting situation. Its stainless steel hands are filled with luminous material for optimal night visibility.

The Strap

Typically delivered on a white hornback strap and with an additional white rubber strap, the Armin Strom One Week Air actually looks even better with a dark colored strap as presented here and way more appealing. Its hornback strap, comparable in craftsmanship and quality to those hornback straps from Audemars Piguet is elegant, yet sporty. Featuring off-white contrast stitching and a pin buckle, this strap rounds out the look of the watch impeccably. A double-fold clasp in titanium is available as on option for those that prefer the functionality of it.

The Movement

Turning the watch around, reveals an impeccably finished in-house calibre ARM09 manual wound movement composed of 146 parts and 34 jewels. When fully wound, the movement provides a power reserve of seven full days while beating at a low frequency of 18,000 vph. The movement is very nicely decorated and the limited edition number is engraved on it.

On the Wrist & Pricing

On the wrist, the Armin Strom One Week Air wears slightly bigger than its size due to its thickness and case design but wears very comfortably. If you like exclusive timepieces where the price point matches the quality, look no further. This Armin Strom One Week Air fits the bill on all aspects including its price. Remember that you could be one of the fortunate owners of this exclusive 100-piece limited edition and get your initials engraved on that small lip at 6 o'clock, ultimately that's what it is for.
