Bell & Ross launched its LUM line in 2017 with the BR03‐92 HOROLUM line. The brand has since unveiled other new models in the same category including the BR03‐94 HOROLUM and BR03‐92 NIGHTLUM and, more recently, the BR03‐92 FULL LUM. The suffix ‘LUM’ in their name means ‘lumière’ —light— and refers to one of the fundamental qualities of Bell & Ross watches, which are celebrated for their unfaltering legibility. The latest addition to the LUM collection, the BR03‐92 GREY LUM, boasts optimal legibility thanks to the superluminova C3 treatment which makes it legible both day and night. The design of its dial is uncompromising with its anthracite grey color and sunray pattern, the color of the hands —hours and minutes— and the large decal numerals —3, 6, 9, 12— and indices echoing the lights found on runways. This intense green light with an unrivaled brightness, known for its ultra‐phosphorescence. This was achieved using green superluminova C3, with 100% relative brightness making it the winner in its category, meaning it can always be read both day and night. Designed according to the principles of industrial aesthetics, the BR03‐92 GREY LUM features the signature BR 03 square case measuring 42 mm in width. Instantly evocative of aeronautical and aviation instrument panels, this new reference bears the brand’s DNA thanks to its minimalist design and the ultra‐legibility of the superluminova C3 on the numerals, indices, and hands on the dial. Its ‘circle in a square’ case design evokes the silhouette of an airplane cockpit clock.
The case in a satin‐polished steel gives the piece a bold, urban sport‐chic look. Extremely elegant, the anthracite grey dial with sunray pattern captures the light and plays with its reflections. Driven by a Swiss mechanical automatic movement calibre BR-CAL.302, the BR03‐92 GREY LUM provides all the precision and robustness associated with this line. It is fitted with a grey‐green velvet calfskin strap and delivered with an additional strap made from ultra‐resilient fabric and black Velcro. The straps are fitted with a satin-finished steel buckle and the watch is water-resistant to 100 meters.
