Baselworld 2017: Tudor Heritage Black Bay 41 ref. 79540. Live Pictures, Hands-on & Price.

Following the success of the Tudor Heritage Black Bay 36 ref. 79500 released last year, Tudor presents this year at Baselworld 2017 the new Heritage Black Bay 41 ref. 79540. Perfectly suited for larger wrists that liked the Heritage Black Bay 36 released during Baselworld 2016 but that couldn't wear it because it was designed with ladies and small wristed men in mind, Tudor expresses the aesthetic codes of its iconic Heritage Black Bay through this new model with a diameter of 41 mm and a time only function. For the Heritage Black Bay 41 ref. 79540, Tudor has retained the general lines of the Black Bay family in a simple looking watch that could be the perfect daily wearer for those not caring about a date function and wanting a look somewhat similar to that of the Rolex Explorer ref. 214270 at a fraction of the price.

Things You Need to Know

Like its predecessor, the Heritage Tudor Black Bay 41 features a smooth steel bezel, a glossy black polished dial and is powered by the same generic ETA based calibre 2824 as the 36 mm version. This movement provides a power reserve of 38 hours. The new Tudor Black Bay 41 is water resistant to 150 meters.

With a choice of a steel bracelet or a light brown calf leather strap —similar to the one on the Tudor Ranger— with steel folding clasp, each Tudor Heritage Black Bay 41 is also supplied with an additional grey/black camo strap in fabric.

On the wrist, the new Tudor Heritage Black Bay 41 wears just like any other Tudor Black Bay and true to its size. Its simplicity and ruggedness, make this watch a perfect daily wearer for urban hipsters. The price difference between this new watch and its 36 mm counterpart is only CHF 100 Swiss Francs more.

Sticker Price CHF 2,800 Swiss Francs on bracelet and CHF 2,500 Swiss Francs on strap —approximately $2,750 USD and $2,450 USD respectively. For more info on Tudor click here.
