Its angular case with capricious lines is very retro looking and along with the double-curved sapphire crystal, this is a watch that takes us back to the seventies. Made of high-intensity titanium, the generous case measures 44.5 mm in diameter but is remarkably light.

In 2005, almost 30 years after its launch, our favorite updated Ingenieur reference IW322701 was launched and from that point forward, IWC tried way too many times to maintain this icon alive. However, we have to say that the new IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40 is the closest successor to the original Ingenieur SL in terms of proportions and looks. The new Ingenieur Automatic 40 is being released in stainless steel with three different dials and also in a monochromatic version in titanium with a sandblasted case that has an incredible matte finish.
