Experience: Moët & Chandon Ice Imperial. The Only Champagne to be Served Over Ice.

Moët & Chandon Ice Imperial is still a relatively new champagne launched a few years ago but one that have not gotten as popular in the U.S. as it is in the rest of the world. This is the first and only champagne especially created to be served over ice. Refreshing, crisp and ideal for champagne based cocktails, this new champagne combines fun, fresh and free sensations while remaining true to the Moët & Chandon style, a style distinguished by its bright fruitiness, its seductive palate and its elegant maturity.

The profiles of the wines used in the assemblage have been meticulously selected for the specific contribution made by mainly Pinot Noir —40-50% of an angular grape for its intense fruitiness as well as for its structure—, Pinot Meunier —30-40% of a full and fleshy grape for a rich, melting sensation on the mid-palate— and Chardonnay —10-20%— for a refreshing finish. This is a champagne that goes exceptionally well with sweet food, but particularly well with cheese and fruits. This time, we decided to pair it with a croccantini with fresh soft 'fromage au lait de chèvre', black figs, honey and pepper —a perfect pairing for this crisp and refreshing champagne.

The Moët & Chandon Ice Imperial has a deep gold color with amber highlights, an intense aroma of tropical fruits and with the right level of sweetness and acidity on the palate —almost like a sweeter version of the taste of a Spanish 'Sidra' in combination of the best alcoholic cider you have ever had.

This is a perfect every-day champagne that breaks with the routine and norms of champagne drinking. No need to pour it in your fancy Baccarat glasses but in this modern looking white Moët & Chandon high chalice durable and unbreakable glasses. Always make sure you use between three to four cubes of ice and always, always drink it along with your white dial timepieces. Cheers watchlifestylers!
