Insider: Carl F. Bucherer Manero Peripheral Chocolate Dial. Hands-on with a Unisex Timepiece with a Gorgeous Brown Mother-of-Pearl Dial.

Conceived as a unisex timepiece thanks to its generous case measuring 40.6 mm in diameter and 11.2 mm in thickness, the Carl F. Bucherer Manero Peripheral with chocolate dial is a great looking watch with one of the most unique brown mother-of-pearl dials out there. Also available in 18K rose gold with other dial options and in stainless steel without diamonds, the Manero Peripheral we have here, is fitted with a stainless steel case with diamond encrusted bezel as ref. 00.10917.08.83.11. With an elegant and timeless design the case features soft curves, and contrasting polished and matte surfaces.

Things You Need to Know

Equipped with a brown mother-of-pearl dial that provides great contrast against the stainless steel case, the Manero Peripheral is a very elegant timepiece with raised wedge hour markers and faceted lance hands in the traditional Carl F. Bucherer Manero collection style.

With a clean and simplistic layout, the seconds subdial at 6 o'clock takes the center stage. This slightly recessed subdial with white transfers matches the white minute track and date aperture at 3 o'clock flawlessly. Featuring a hue that resembles a darkened copper or a patinated bronze surface, the Manero Peripheral with chocolate dial can go well with most earthy tones and mostly formal settings.

For those of you curious about the number of diamonds on the bezel or the total carats, the Carl F. Bucherer Manero Peripheral Chocolate dial features sixty FC TW VVS diamonds totaling 0.6 carats. While the diamonds are really kind of small per their weight, they are very nicely set in a way that makes them appear much bigger and prominent. Without a doubt, the perfect touch of bling to make that mother-of-pearl dial look even fancier.

The Movement

The Carl F. Bucherer Manero Peripheral Chocolate dial reference 00.10917.08.83.11 is powered by the same new in-house CFB automatic movement that powers the rest of the Manero Peripheral collection. Drawing energy from a double-sided automatic mechanism with peripheral rotor, the movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph to provide a power reserve of 55 hours when fully wound. Fully visible via the display case back, the movement features very angular bridges and much better finishing than that on earlier production movements from Carl F. Bucherer.

On the Wrist & Pricing

Secured by a supple dark brown Louisiana alligator strap with stainless steel buckle, the Carl F. Bucherer Manero Peripheral with brown mother-of-pearl dial wears slightly smaller than its actual size and more like a 39.5 mm watch. Overall, this is a stunning watch that while it is intended for unisex wear, we see it more adorning the wrists of the ladies.
