Insider: Hublot Big Bang Ferrari Speciale Black Ceramic and Grey Ceramic. Our Favorite Ferrari Tribute Watches in a 250-Piece Limited Edition.

The newly released Hublot Big Bang Ferrari Speciale watches in black ceramic and grey ceramic are by far our favorite watches coming from the successful partnership between the manufacture from Nyon and Maranello's 'Cavallino Rampante'. These new timepieces released in a limited edition of 250 pieces each under ref. 401.FX.1123.VR —Grey Ceramic— and 401.CX.1123.VR —Black Ceramic— incorporate elements of the Ferrari design in a very clever and exceptional way. Fitted with a 45 mm case with alternating polished and satin brushed finished areas, these two new Hublot Big Bang Ferrari Speciale Ceramic pieces are sure to be gone before you know it. What we like about this particular limited edition, is that Hublot did a great job at incorporating certain elements of the Ferrari Speciale 458 into the look of the watch without compromising their DNA or without going over the top compromising the overall look of the watch.

Baselworld 2015: Introducing the Hublot Big Bang Ferrari Carbon Limited Edition. Live Pictures and Pricing.

The new Hublot Big Bang Ferrari Carbon is available in a 45 mm case in either 18K King Gold ref. 401.OJ.0123.VR  or Titanium ref. 401.NJ.0123.VR. Another exceptional piece released this year at Baselworld 2015 is a Hublot Grande Complication that fuses tradition and modernity. The new Hublot Big Bang Chrono Perpetual Calendar is the quintessence of the watchmaker's art in a Big Bang case and the first Perpetual Calendar for the brand. The new from Baselworld 2015 Hublot Big Bang Chrono Perpetual Calendar sums up Hublot's approach perfectly when it comes to fusing tradition and modernity. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of its iconic Big Bang model, Hublot is revisiting a Grande Complication. Its manufacture Unico movement forms the basis of this exceptional calibre; here we see the fusion of three major complications: the chronograph, the perpetual calendar and the moon phase. Baselworld 2015: Introducing the Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon 5-day Power Reserve Indicator Full Magic Gold. Live Pictures and Pricing.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hublot Big Bang, the brand surprised us at Baselworld 2015 with three exciting limited editions. For those of you that don't know, the first Big Bang to be launched in 2005 was the Big Bang Gold Ceramic, which quickly became the flagship and signature watch for Hublot. Well, 10 years have passed and perhaps over a 100 different limited editions —just guessing— have been presented since then. One of these three new limited edition watches just released this past week at Baselworld 2015 is the new Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon 5-day Power Reserve Indicator Full Magic Gold ref. 405.MX.0138.RX.

In Monsieur Jean-Claude Biver's words: "Nothing can be born without a good idea." His good idea came in 2005, when he came up with the name "Big Bang" based on an idea which is central to the art of fusion, the combining of objects and materials which never appear together under normal conditions, for example rubber and gold. The former is harvested from a tree, the latter mined from deep inside the earth.

Insider: Hublot Big Bang Depeche Mode Steel Limited Edition. 'Your Own Personal Jesus'.

If you used to dance to the beats of Depeche Mode's 'Music for the Masses' or 'Personal Jesus' was your party anthem, then the Hublot Big Bang Depeche Mode Steel Limited Edition ref. 311.SX.8010.VR.DPM14 is no stranger to you. This limited edition watch unveiled at the beginning of the year during a very special event at the Hublot boutique in the heart of the Place Vendôme in Paris, is the result of a fundraising project with Charity:Water, for which Depeche Mode's Delta Machine Tour is raising funds. The non-profit's mission is to ensure clean and safe water supply in developing countries.

This watch definitely targeted to all of us that were teens in the 80s —and most Generation X individuals— is available in a limited edition of 250 pieces that also includes 10 exceptional unique box sets, each containing a signed guitar by Depeche Mode and a special watch with a red chrono central hand, each engraved for one of the 10 cities with iconic meaning to Depeche Mode including Paris, New York, Basildon, Los Angeles, Milan, Warsaw, Moscow, Zurich, Berlin and Hamburg.

Insider: Hublot King Power 'Red Devil' Manchester United Limited Edition. 250 Pieces for True Reds.

For the third time Hublot and UK Football team Manchester United come together for a special limited edition watch. This special partnership started in 2009 when Hublot installed an H-shaped structure comprised of a 10 meter tower in the shape of an H —just like the one on the Hublot logo— that holds four clock faces with a diameter of two meters each, strategically located by the parking lot in front of the East Stand. Additionally, two other limited edition Hublot Manchester United watches were released before this one.

Considering the long standing partnership between the two companies, this watch is a particular treat for Manchester United fans that are true reds and which comes in a very limited edition of 250 pieces in 18K red gold with a titanium middle case measuring 48 mm in diameter.

Insider: Hublot Big Bang Unico Bi-Retrograde Chronograph "Soccer Bang". Official Watch of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.

Since today is the kick-off of the World Cup in Brazil, we decided to bring back from our archives our review of the Hublot Big Bang Unico Bi-Retrograde Chronograph. This exceptional watch is a different type of chronograph. It is fitted with a different type of display. It's a watch specially designed for the world of soccer —fútbol. It's the Official Watch of this year's FIFA World Cup in Brazil. It's also the first Big Bang Unico Bi-Retrograde Chrono. It's a first for Hublot, who has never before produced a bi-retrograde function, along with a central chrono, a movement with patent pending. The engineers and watchmakers at Hublot were initially inspired to develop a watch movement specifically for the world of soccer —fútbol—, to pay homage to the prestigious 2014 FIFA World Cup for which Hublot is the Official timekeeper and the Official Watch.

Macros: Hublot King Power Unico Titanium. Massive and Very Well Crafted.

The Hublot King Power Unico Titanium ref. 701.NX.0170.RX is a massive chronograph in a satin-brushed finished case measuring 48mm in diameter and 17.6mm thick. Even though this watch is very large and quite thick, it wears extremely comfortably. This fascinating timepiece is well crafted and perfectly suited for watchlifestylers that are looking to wear a watch with impactful wrist presence and strong horological values.

The Hublot King Power Unico features a very sleek openworked sapphire dial with the most fascinating calendar disc with tridimensional numbers that are the result of extreme horological engineering. The date aperture is strategically located between the 4 and 5 o'clock markers.

The automatic chronograph flyback movement —with column wheel— in this watch, is the Hublot calibre HUB 1240 composed of 330 parts, 38 jewels and a power-reserve of 3 days —fully visible through the display case back and the openworked dial.

The openworked dial features satin-finished rhodium plated applied markers with white luminescent material that are very typical of Hublot watches with the running seconds register at 9 and the 60-minute chrono register at 3 o'clock. All the visual elements on the dial along with the ability to appreciate the column wheel mechanism on the chronograph create a perfect harmony on this timepiece.

The watch is fitted with a very comfortable black rubber strap with deployant buckle in titanium and black PVD titanium. The rubber on the strap is texturized with the traditional Hublot stripes and is very soft and durable. Additionally, the watch is waterproof to a depth rating of 100 meters —330ft.

The sapphire crystal on this watch has been treated with an anti-reflective double coating that minimizes glare to fully appreciate the beauty of the openworked dial. At the right angle, you can see a beautiful blue tint on the crystal product of the superb coating on it.

The bezel on the King Power Unico is made of satin-finished titanium and black rubber with 6 H-shaped black PVD titanium screws. The unmistakeable Hublot bezel lugs at 3 and 9 o'clock, are made of a black composite resin that is very hard and shock-resistant. The crown and chrono pushers also feature a black rubber insert in them and every single component on this watch is a real treat to the eyes.

In summary, we feel the craftsmanship of this watch is spectacular and its design is very well executed and properly balanced. We'll sum it up in just six words: "This is our favorite Hublot watch".

News: Hublot Unveils the Big Bang Ferrari Beverly Hills Limited Edition. Only 50 Pieces Available.

Press Release

Hublot expands its partnership with the Maranello-based Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari by announcing a new 50-piece limited edition, the Big Bang Ferrari Beverly Hills. Hublot, the manufacturer of Ferrari and Scuderia Ferrari “Official Watches,” and the official timekeeper of Ferrari, Scuderia Ferrari, and the Ferrari Challenge, adds to the family of Big Bang Ferrari watches with a new edition available exclusively at the Hublot Boutique Beverly Hills.

The Big Bang Ferrari Beverly Hills fuses style, materials and mechanics in way that uniquely addresses the respective DNA of Hublot and Ferrari: innovation, performance, technology and exclusivity. The Big Bang Ferrari Beverly Hills sports a 45.5-mm black ceramic case with a satin-finished black ceramic bezel, blue inner bezel and sapphire dial, which dramatically showcase the automatic movement inside. The UNICO chronograph movement can be compared to the best possible engine to power a racing car. With no fewer than 330 components, oscillating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, the column wheel and dual horizontal coupling on the dial side appear in a constellation reminiscent of Ferrari alloy wheel rims. The timepiece has a 72-hour power reserve, and is water-resistant to 100 meters. The minute counter, whose hands and indices recall a Ferrari dashboard, is positioned at 3 o’clock and complemented by a date window in ‘Modena’ yellow. Ferrari’s legendary prancing horse is featured discreetly in relief at 9 o'clock.

The watch’s indexed crown is bracketed by elongated push buttons, fixed along a rotating axis like the pedals in a car. The Ferrari logo is engraved and lacquered red on the lower push button, complementing the red seconds hand and chronograph indices. The blue schedoni leather strap, backed by black rubber and stitched in Ferrari red, is a nod to the signature upholstery craftsmanship typical of Ferrari.

The absence of superfluous accessories brings out the fusional and rational aspects of the Big Bang Ferrari Beverly Hills’ unique design, a pure expression of the values that characterize the sports spirit of Ferrari and at the same time the inimitable Hublot style.
