The new HYT H4 Gotham is a genuine composition of color on a theme of contrast, dazzling, profiled and suited to the twists of the H4 Gotham components, to bring out the finest details. The new HYT H4 Gotham ref. 151-CB-03-RF-RN is also equipped with a new sapphire case back. With a chromium-plated metalized finish, that has a double role: in contact with the skin, the metalized finish reproduces a smoky glass effect. On the movement side, inside the case, the chromium-plated finish gives the illusion of a mirror. So the H4 is adorned with a complex play of lights and mirrors, which provides, depending on the angle, a view of the light penetrating the movement, its areas of shadow or even your own reflection. On the dial side, red has been chosen to inhabit the capillary of the H4 Gotham. It marks the progress of the hours, with the retrograde display, signature of the brand. This 'bloody' tone is also adopted by the seconds wheel at 9 o'clock, as well as the power reserve at 3 o'clock and the strap's top stitching.

Baselworld 2015: Introducing the HYT H2 Full Bronze. Live Pictures and Pricing.
In 2013, HYT launched its second collection engineered in partnership with Audemars Piguet Renaud Papi. This year at Baselworld 2015 HYT and Vincent Perriard came with the new H2 Full Bronze keeping the same unbelievable DNA based on hydro-mechanical horology and daring to step out of conformity and added unique metallic shades on each of those cases architecture giving bronze tones. Firstly, the position of the bellows, positioned at 6 o'clock in "V" and rising, clearly evokes the most outstanding achievements of automotive and aeronautical engineering. This optimizes the integration of the interface that connects the watch mechanisms with the fluidic system. Fitted with a titanium bronze PVD case measuring 48.8 mm in diameter and 17.9 mm in thickness, this new HYT H2 Full Bronze ref. 248-TB-00-RF-MM is really huge but spectacular. The case is very nicely finished with polished, micro blasted and satin finishes.

Known for blurring the lines, HYT the HydroMechanical Horologists have once again defied the limits of what is possible. As if mastering telling time with fluids wasn't already impressive enough, the new HYT H3 is even a more complex part of the HYT evolution and their continued pursuit to push the limits of horology. The H3 is a massive timepiece in terms of size but what's inside is even greater than the sum of its case size measuring 62 x 41 mm. Its movement —like out of sci-fi movie speaks for itself. HYT and its partners at APRP —Audemars Piguet Renaud & Papi— have succeeded in creating a timepiece with a highly complex architecture. One of the main challenges was the machining of the case and the special curved sapphire crystal. When it came to the movement, one of the most delicate steps in creating the H3 involved recovering the energy provided in the retrograde movement, which then powered the semi-instantaneous rotation of the watch's dial with use of the fluid going back and delivering the necessary energy.

Even at first glance the Skull makes a striking impression, simply because it epitomizes and at the same time breaks away from everything that HYT represents. It is provocative, unique and has a bold design supported by the fluid mechanics that have become the brand’s signature style. The Skull speaks for itself. Its development, however, was anything but obvious. The use of a capillary, which carries a fluid to act as the hour marker, is a concept that is already mastered by HYT and its partners. However, any significant changes in form require extensive background work. For the Skull, the skull shape of the tube, which measures less than one millimeter in diameter, was a significant challenge in itself. The issue centered on the capillary’s four angles, two of which are almost 90° at the base. These curves meant that bending the glass was a particularly delicate task.

This year at Baselworld 2014, we perused and reviewed almost a hundred new timepieces; however, this new HYT H1 Alumen Blue ref. 148-AB-31-GF-RU happens to be one of our favorite watches this year because of its unique case material, finish and color combination.
The new HYT Alumen Blue is fitted with an ALUN 316B composite case that is shot-peened and satin-finished measuring 48.8 mm in diameter and 17.9 mm in thickness, a screw-down rubber clad screw-lock crown a titanium black DLC dome at 6 o'clock, a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and a black rubber strap with titanium pin buckle. The finish of the case is so unique that you need to touch one to fully understand what we mean.
Just like all other HYT watches, the HYT H1 Alumen Blue tells time with their advanced hydromechanical system that consists of two flexible reservoirs fixed to each end of a capillary at 6 o'clock. In one of the reservoirs there is an aqueous liquid filled with fluorescein, and in the other, a transparent viscous liquid. While the first reservoir compresses, the second expands, and the other way round, resulting in the movement of the liquid in the capillary. As the hours go by, the fluorescent liquid advances. The meniscus, in the shape of a half moon, marks the breaking point with the other fluid in the tube, indicating the time. At 6 o'clock, the fluorescent liquid comes back to its original position, going backwards. But what is the secret that gets the reservoirs going? Two bellows made of a highly resistant, flexible electro-deposited alloy, each driven by a piston. And this is where watchmaking comes in to activate the system.
Equipped with green fluid to indicate the hours, the watch features a blue ALUN 316B hour dial with white indexes and Arabic numerals, a blue ALUN 316B minute regulator dial at 12 o'clock with luminescent markers and grey minute hand with luminescent material, a small seconds black turbine-shaped wheel between 9 and 10 o'clock and a 65-hour power reserve indicator between 2 and 3 o'clock.
The HYT is fitted with the exclusive manual-wound HYT calibre 101 that provides a power reserve of 65 hours when fully wound and which is fully visible via the display case back. As it is the norm with HYT timepieces, the calibre is a real treat for the eyes and just spectacular.
The HYT H1 Alumen Blue is a limited edition watch that only 50 lucky watchlifestylers will get to enjoy. As expected, on the wrist, the watch wears very light due to the aluminum composite but with very strong and immaculate wrist presence.

This time, HYT is pushing hybridization to its peak by firstly repositioning the bellows at 6 o'clock in "V" and rising, which clearly evokes the most outstanding achievements of automotive and aeronautical engineering. This optimizes the integration of the interface that connects the watch mechanisms with the fluidic system. Mirroring the pair of bellows, the balance spring presides at midday on its black bridge, the dome marking the rhythm of life in this unique world. At 3 o'clock is a "H-N-R" crown position indicator, which brings to mind the gearstick of a racing car, is counterbalanced by the presence of another hand, which is also original and exclusive to HYT, a temperature indicator. Once the watch is being worn, this function enables the user to accurately find out when the fluid has reached the optimum temperature range. In the center, a minute hand, designed in stages to perfectly fit the structure of the blue fluidic system jumps after 30 minutes to avoid the bellows. The polyepoxyde hour dial with blue printed indexes and numerals, along with the sapphire minute dial and the blue-stained stainless steel minute hand will blow your mind away.
To make this watch even more amazing, the display case back reveals the beautifully finished manual wound calibre HYT with 28 jewels, titanium bridges with decorated micro-blasted black PVD and titanium colored satin-finished accents and which provides an outstanding 8-day power reserve when fully wound. For those of you appreciative of 'haute horlogerie' and everything that comes out of APRP, this calibre will for sure tick all the boxes and provide you with a real treat for the eyes.
On the wrist, what can we tell you. This piece of 'haute horlogerie' feels and wears just spectacularly. The watch wears true to its size but not in a bulky way, with regards to the wrist presence, it is out of this world. If you are ready to tell time with a fluid based mechanical watch and wow everyone during that board meeting, this is the watch for you. Now remember, this watch is only available in a limited edition of 20 pieces so once it hits the stores later this year you need to act fast.
