News: Tudor Presents Limited Edition Black Bay Chrono Dark. Celebrating the New Zealand All Blacks.

To celebrate Tudor’s global partnership with the New Zealand All Blacks, and to mark the Rugby World Cup beginning September 20th, 2019 of which Tudor is the Official Timekeeper, the brand just unveiled a Limited Edition Black Bay Chrono Dark in black PVD steel. The watch is available in a limited edition of 1,181 pieces that references the number of players that have served the legacy of New Zealand’s national rugby team since its creation in 1903. The one number that will not be available to end customers, is #1115, which belongs to the one and only Beauden Barrett —elected the world’s best rugby player in both 2016 and 2017. He is only the second rugby player in history to twice receive this distinction, and also the youngest.

All watches are individually numbered engraved on the case back.

The Tudor Limited Edition Black Bay Chrono Dark is a matte black chronograph matching the New Zealand All Blacks’ famous jersey and powered by the in-house Manufacture Caliber complete with column wheel and vertical clutch. This new limited edition features a striking satin-brushed steel case and bracelet with a modern matte finish by way of its black PVD-treated coating. Derived from a thin-film technology originally developed by NASA, PVD, or Physical Vapor Deposition, enables practically any inorganic material to be bonded with metals.

As Official Timekeepers of the 2019 Rugby World Cup, all participating referees in the global event will be wearing the traditional Tudor Black Bay Chrono in Steel.
