Experience: AP Royal Oak Offshore Diver in the Cayman Islands. Nothing Beats a Watch in its Element.

A week in the Cayman Islands is always wonderful, specially when you stay at the Ritz-Carlton located in the heart of Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman. During our stay we enjoyed lenty of water activities including interacting with stingrays, smoking a handful of Habanos —Montecristo #4— and simply enjoying the good life. Summers spent by the beach in the company of a good timepiece are always something we really appreciate to the fullest.

If you ever visit Grand Cayman, make sure you take a Catamaran to Stingray City & Sandbar which is a must see. The stingrays are just phenomenal and being there takes your breath away. You can actually hold the stingrays and pull them out of the water if you like. After playing with the stingrays there, we headed to Coral Reef which is a small reef in the middle of the sea not far from Stingray City & Sandbar. Good assortment of tropical fish but not as good as in the Turks and Caicos.

The Ritz-Carlton offers a great selection of food, wine and drinks. Our stay was very pleasant and the Royal Oak Offshore Diver is so far our favorite diving watch when traveling to exotic destinations. On our last night there, we had dinner at BLUE by Eric Ripert—owner of Le Bernardin in NYC— and it was just spectacular. Almost as good as at Le Bernardin in NYC and up to par with Le Cirque or Daniel. A little bit of molecular gastronomy going on and overall an amazing dinner. It all started with an amuse-bouche of Yellowtail Tuna Tartare with a Citrus Sphere. We then enjoyed some Tuna-Foie Gras —what a perfect combo— and Yellowtail Ceviches as appetizers. Then, we enjoyed the Cobia over a Coconut Avocado Cream and a Lime Sauce Vierge and Poached Halibut with a Lemon-Artichoke Risotto and a Pistachio Pesto for entrées. For dessert, we finished with a chocolate delicacy and a popcorn caramel mousse that were decadent.

A trip to Grand Cayman in the company of a Royal Oak Offshore Diver gets even better when you get to stay at the Ritz-Carlton.  For more info on Ritz-Carlton click here.
