SIHH 2019: Panerai Submersible Chrono Guillaume Néry Special Edition PAM 983. Live Pictures & Pricing.

Continuing with our coverage of all the Panerai novelties released at the SIHH 2019, comes the new Panerai Submersible Chrono Guillaume Néry Special Edition PAM983, not to be confused with the other Guillaume Néry Edition PAM 982. What makes this watch different, other than the obvious nuances with a black DLC titanium case and bezel and with a blue black dial, is that this watch is sold including an epic experience that only 15 lucky buyers will get to enjoy. The fortunate few who acquire this new Panerai will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive experience to take place in Moorea —French Polynesia— where free-diver Guillaume Néry lives. There, they will plunge into the depths of the ocean and experience the extraordinary emotions of diving while whale watching alongside Guillaume Néry.

The 47 mm DLC titanium case is the perfect housing for such a special dial that was specially textured with black and blue to honor the water of Moorea where Néry set his personal record of 126 meters, only two meters short of breaking the free-diving world record.

A diving watch in true essence, the Panerai Submersible Chrono Guillaume Néry Special Edition PAM 983 is water resistant to 300 meters —1,000 feet— and equipped with a black DLC titanium unidirectional rotating bezel. The dial, with the most unique hue and texture comes to life with the turquoise blue —more like a light mint green— hands and accents.

The Panerai Submersible Chrono Guillaume Néry PAM 983 features chronograph pushers on its left caseband and crown protecting device on the right side. The chrono pushers are of the scrrewed-in type and while fully protected with gaskets, the chronograph should never be activated under water.

The Submersible Chrono Guillaume Néry PAM 983 is powered by the in-house Panerai double-barrel calibre P.9100. This automatic movement with two spring barrels is capable of providing a power reserve of 3 full days. The movement is protected by a black DLC titanium solid case back with the same special engraving as the PAM 982 celebrating Guillaume Néry’s 126-meter free-diving record —only 2 meters away from the world record.

The watch is delivered on a black rubber strap equipped with a black DLC trapezoidal titanium pin buckle. Without a doubt another one of our favorite watches released by Panerai at the SIHH 2019.
