Eye Candy: Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance Fire with Guilloché Dial by Kari Voutilainen. Impressive is an Understatement.

The Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance was originally released two years ago and then revisited earlier this year at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie 2018. Featuring a hand guilloché dial created by master watchmaker Kari Voutilainen, one of the authorities in dial and movement decoration, this watch is available in a wide variety of colors that include blue, black, white, anthracite, bi-color and even red. Additionally, the dials are also offered in different guilloché patterns that include sunray, concentric waves or even 'à grains d'orge' —barleycorn—. The one pictured here is the concentric waves one.

The Watch Details

Fitted with an 18K rose gold case measuring 43.4 mm in diameter, the Armin Strom Mirrored Resonance Fire is truly the only Resonance watch in the market. Equipped with two oscillating bodies in close proximity that influence each other and eventually synchronize, the Mirrored Force Resonance Fire is a sophisticated and very demanding horological technique that has rarely been attempted, let alone mastered.

The Guilloché Dial by Kari Voutilainen

Considering the complex production process of these guilloché dials, an extra cost of CHF 5,000 will be applied to the standard retail price of the Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance in either 18K rose gold or stainless steel.

The Calibre ARF15

The resonant calibre ARF15 is a classically constructed manually wound movement —composed of 226 parts and 43 jewels— that was conceived, manufactured, assembled and regulated in-house. The movement beats at the atypical frequency of 3.5 Hertz —25,200 vph—, allowing the observer to really appreciate the patented, resonant regulators in action.
