Following the news we just brought you right here about Richard Mille pulling out of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie after 2019, in an unexpected move, we just received a press release from Audemars Piguet confirming that they are also pulling out after 2019 and ceasing their collaboration with the SIHH. The press release reads:

”Audemars Piguet announces the end of its collaboration with the SIHH —Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie— after 19 years of partnership. The manufacture from Le Brassus will attend the SIHH for the last time in 2019.

The evolving nature of the watchmaking industry is such that Audemars Piguet’s business model is changing and the Manufacture has decided to explore new directions in order to forge closer and more direct relationships with end-clients and watch enthusiasts worldwide.

Audemars Piguet would like to thank the SIHH for such an enriching partnership and wishes them all the best for the future.”

And just like we mentioned it when we broke the news about Richard Mille, exclusive watch brands will look for more engaging ways to connect with their real customers at a fraction of the price and with higher ROI.

Time to enjoy the last SIHH with Audemars Piguet next year to the max.
