Introducing: Bell & Ross X Alain Silberstein. BR 03-92 Klub 22, BR 03-92 Marine 22 and BR 03-94 Krono 22.

Three watches tell a story about shared passions, people, and above all, the essence of design. While Silberstein's colorful designs and the utilitarian stylings of Bell & Ross' signature square watch might initially seem to be from different worlds, one thing unites them. The clarity and integrity of Bell & Ross designer Bruno Belamich's aviation-inspired square —especially in this black ceramic case— is the perfect counterpoint to Silberstein's distinctive design language.

The day Bell & Ross dropped the new BR 03-92 Diver Military Limited Edition we knew we had to own one and work on a hands-on review. Since we have a soft spot for diving watches here at WCL, the Diver Military had to go on the chopping block. First of all, we have to say that we like the fact that this is a true diving watch in all its form as it complies with the Standard NIHS 92611/ISO 6425 for Diver Watches.

The brand has since unveiled other new models in the same category including the BR03‐94 HOROLUM and BR03‐92 NIGHTLUM and, more recently, the BR03‐92 FULL LUM. The suffix ‘LUM’ in their name means ‘lumière’ —light— and refers to one of the fundamental qualities of Bell & Ross watches, which are celebrated for their unfaltering legibility. These models, with micro‐blasted steel or matte ceramic cases, have exceptional display qualities thanks to the application of superluminova C3.

Insider: Bell & Ross BR-X1 Phantom. One of the Nicest Watches from this Brand.

Cased in black PVD titanium with matte black ceramic pusher inserts and available in a limited edition of 250 pieces, the new Bell & Ross BR-X1 Phantom is a great looking watch that will fly under the radar with its monochromatic look and stealthy appearance. Designed with a partially skeletonized dial, this is without a doubt one of the best looking Bell & Ross watches out there. Now, the only problem here is that the price tag is very steep considering this is not an in-house movement and a Bell & Ross. Now, despite the price tag the watch is very nicely done and great looking.

Insider: Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver Green Bronze. A Stunning 999-Piece Limited Edition.

Two years ago, Bell & Ross released the BR 03-92 Diver with a black or a blue dial as its first diving watch within the square-shaped collection. However, Bell & Ross has been making diving watches for more than a decade now. As a matter of fact the discontinued Marine BR 02-94 is one of our favorite all-time diving watches. The new Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver Green Bronze capitalizes on the huge success of bronze cased watches in a limited edition that distinguishes itself from the others through its dial. Bell & Ross introduces an appealing combination that makes two worlds meet with the combination of bronze —the diving industry’s metal of choice– and an olive green dial—mirroring the color of the military camouflage uniform— that works beautifully together, giving it a neo-retro rugged look.

Insider: Bell & Ross BR-X2 Tourbillon Micro Rotor. Hands-on with a 99-Piece Limited Edition.

In a limited edition of 99 pieces comes the Bell & Ross BR-X2 Tourbillon Micro Rotor ref. BRX2-MRTB-ST. Following the trend set by brands like Richard Mille, Greubel Forsey, MB&F and Hublot, Bell & Ross first released their BR-X1 Tourbillon Sapphire priced at a whopping almost half a million dollars in order to play within a much higher price point in the market. As a sequel to the BR-X1, Bell & Ross released the BR-X2 Tourbillon Micro Rotor —also available in a fully skeletonized version— at a much more affordable price point but sill way too high for what anyone would be willing to pay for a Bell & Ross.

Insider: Bell & Ross BR V2-94 Garde-Côtes. A Gorgeous Watch That Won't Break the Bank.

Last time we talked here at WCL about Bell & Ross was back in 2017 when the brand had just released its BR-X1 Tourbillon Sapphire —you can read our review here. Disappointed by seeing the brand trying too hard to conquer uncharted territory in a price point that doesn’t match their brand essence and product offering, we decided to take a hiatus at reviewing any of their watches. However, with the release of the BR V2-94 Garde-Côtes, the brand picked our interest one more time by going back to their basics and what they’re well known for, making good looking watches that won’t break the bank and that give you a little bit more than a TAG Heuer, a Longines or a Baume & Mercier would give you just to name a few.

Insider: Bell & Ross BR-X1 Tourbillon Sapphire. Hands-on with the Almost Half Million Dollars 8-Piece Limited Edition.

Following the trend set by brands like Richard Mille, Greubel Forsey, MB&F and Hublot, comes the Bell & Ross BR-X1 Tourbillon Sapphire. This new sapphire watch released by Bell & Ross during Baselworld 2017 was a big surprise, considering that the price point for their timepieces has always been under $8K and with just a few misfits highly priced in the $20K price range. Furthermore, an almost half million US dollars timepiece that is not even powered by an in-house calibre should be something even out of the question.
