ZENITH

Founded by Georges Favre-Jacot in 1865, Zenith has won 2,333 timekeeping precision awards. Launched in 1969, the El Primero chronograph is still the most legendary of its kind and accurate to the nearest 1/10th of a second. During the quartz crisis, Charles Vermot —one of the original watchmakers that worked on the El Primero— played a pivotal role in Zenith’s legacy by safeguarding the El Primero production equipment, enabling Zenith to begin producing its legendary chronograph again in 1984. Today, the legacy of Zenith is also supported by other iconic collections such as the Defy, the Elite, and the Chronomaster.
